HOT TAKE: We need to talk about the unexpected intersection of hyper-capitalism and radical kindness. 🤝💸 We scroll past them every day. A professional cleaner tackling a depressed stranger’s hoard for free. A tiktoker handing $500 to a street vendor. A YouTuber building 100 wells in Africa. It’s easy to view these just as heartwarming moments of human decency. But if you look deeper, you’re watching a fascinating engine at work—one powered entirely by the innovations of modern capitalism. Think about the mechanics of a story like the one inspiring from @CleanWithBeax (a pro cleaner helping someone in crisis). Fifty years ago, charity was largely centralized—big institutions or local churches. Today, the ability to identify a need, mobilize resources, and deliver aid has been completely democratized. WHY? Because of platforms built by tech giants competing for our attention. Because of smartphones in every pocket. Because of high-speed internet. These innovations created the "Attention Economy." And while critics focus on the negatives, innovators have figured out how to hack this economy for massive social good. The new model of philanthropy is cyclical and sustainable: 1️⃣ Value Creation: A creator uses their professional skill (cleaning, entertaining, storytelling) to build an audience. 2️⃣ Monetization: That attention is converted into capital (ad revenue, sponsorships) via capitalist platforms. 3️⃣ Redistribution: That capital is deployed directly to help individuals in need. 4️⃣ Content Loop: The act of helping is filmed, generating more attention, funding the next good deed. Look at MrBeast. He is perhaps the greatest modern example of this phenomenon. He built a media empire that essentially functions as a massive wealth redistribution machine. He turned "giving away money" into the most profitable content genre on Earth. Look at MD Motivator, helping people with mental health struggles, or MurphsLife, changing lives in Latin America. These aren't just nice people (though they are). They are savvy operators utilizing the most sophisticated tools capitalism has ever produced to crowdsource compassion at an unprecedented scale. The beauty of this system is that it aligns incentives. The more people they help, the more their business grows, allowing them to help even more people. It’s a unique form of crowdfunding where the "crowd" pays with their eyeballs, and the dividends are paid out in kindness to strangers. Social Good x Capitalist Innovation = a powerful kind of Modern Magic Charity. ✨📈 #SocialGood #Capitalism #Innovation #MrBeast #Philanthropy #CreatorEconomy

Responding to the common misconception that my homestate #Kerala’s success started in 1957 or due to #commie govts. If you look at the data, the foundation for our high literacy and healthcare was laid decades earlier by the Syro-Malabar/Catholic Church, other Christian missions, and Hindu reform movements like the SNDP/NSS. They built the schools (#pallikoodams thanks to the movement by St. Chavara, inter alia, and hospitals when the state was nowhere to be seen. And ofcourse, I'd definitely credit the human centric infrastructure development approach of the #Travancore monarchs too. In reality, Communist policies like militant unionism and 'Nokku-kooli' actually crippled our industrial growth. Illogical attempts to nationalise educational institutions have only backfired + the so-called land redistribution actually destroyed the agricultural economy of the state, making it unjustifiably dependent on neighbours on basic stuff like grains, vegeies and even clothes. We have high #HDI (thanks to charities), but we don't have jobs to match (thanks to commies)—which is why everyone has to leave for the Gulf or Europe. In essence, we didn't 'become great' because of Communism; we've survived despite the economic stagnation their policies created, largely thanks to religious private institutional missions and the army of non-resident #Malayalis created as a result undertaking global remittances.

Amid the IndiGo meltdown in India, with thousands of flights canceled due to pilot shortages, folks are slamming Air India and other airlines for "price gouging." But hold up—what they're missing is Economics 101: When supply crashes (hello, massive disruptions!), prices naturally spike as signals to balance demand. It rations scarce seats to those who need them most, prevents hoarding, and incentivizes more supply long-term. Not exploitation, just markets at work! #IndiGoCrisis #MarketEconomics #AviationChaos

If #profit meant “only the rich,” there’d be only first class. But hey, the #FreeMarket works for everybody: first, biz, economy—something for every wallet, and more people flying. Did IATA or any govt force them? NO! It's the invisible hand of the market.✈️💺 #Capitalism
