It is not nationality but residency/citicenship. Regular americans have it worst because the tax man follows you around the globe. The golden visa allows those rich people to come and go as they please from the US with their business on their back. The american marken is huge, and for those types, 5M is pocket money.

I tried to buy a bakery that was about to close down, it was the last in our town. I was told off because I was not part of the Baker's Association and that I needed to be a Master Baker (4 years) to do that. I was planning to hire people not to do it myself. End of the story, we no longer have bakeries and are forced to buy the shit from the supermarket. All trades in Germany are like that, the black market is on the rise.

There is a lawyer in town who advertises as "Did you fall at your work? you might be injured and entitle to payment, contact ..." There are always parasites everywhere. I am obviously talking out of my ass but if you bought the thing and you still have the thing and it is working as advertised, well there is not much to do about it.

Germany is removing the debt ceilling shortly. Money printer goes BRRRR! and so are my wages. I think that you need to take into consideration (maybe you have) that they are not spending their money, but ours. Hence, they don't give two dimes about it.
