I don't disagree that the argument is I'll constructed. But a clear and present problem in society is the lack of willingness (or even worse disability) of people to engage in civil discourse. This type of content only contributes to that problem. Slop has existed on every medium. Radio ads, Television commercials, social media pre-AI with all of the previous plus users making careers off of spewing garbage. Yet now people draw a line in the sand and anchor "slop" to "AI" and try to tie them exclusively together. To me, that avoids the root of the problem.
