I know there are mixed feelings on this anniversary. There was an entire generation born from something horrible who were willing to stand for something, put their life on the line and be more than a keyboard quarterback. Not all can be keyed in to a perceived orchestration and planning of something that may or may not be real. But the conviction to pick a position based on the information presented is real. Picking a position on principles, however flawed, is better than people sitting around and debating it when the threat to life was already demonstrated.

GM My role the past 6 years has been developer and IT capability development and leadership. Before that 15+ years of development. I have dabbled in Claude, Copilot in IDE, etc for a year but not enough focus to REALLY explore what it is capable of. Last night I discovered Claude Code and rapidly built an idea in a very clean and functioning user experience. In a couple of hours. And this morning I am at an airport on my phone instructing Claude on my desktop at home to tweak and clean up. I am still trying still trying to make sense of what happened. It's ability to take rapid fire instructions, interpret and implement via the technology specifications I provided has me dumfounded. I'd heard the stories but was still skeptical. Last night I experienced it. There is no going back. My next step is operationalizing the concept and deploying the workload to AWS which I have a basic understanding of.

The one thing I reflect on is seeing a mother jumping to her death from a burning skyscraper and holding her dress to her legs as she is falling to the ground. The last bit of dignity at death's door knowing she is leaving her kids behind. I remember seeing this on 9/11. It is a horrible reality that human beings decided to fly a fully loaded airplane, full of humans, into a building full of humans. Please give a better definition of evil.
