We have the exact same technology here in the USA doing the same thing. We have license plate readers that local police are using to track you everywhere. We have license plate readers tracking you and sending you toll violations for “congestion pricing”. We have cameras taking pictures of you and your vehicle everywhere tracking your speed. If you violate speed limits you get violations in the mail at your vehicle’s registered address. And if you don’t pay the violations your vehicle gets booted and towed. What is the difference between China and the USA?

#nostr is about freedom of choice not so much freedom of speech. on nostr you are not the product as you are on other "platforms". the ability to have "freedom of speech" is in many ways a distraction to the larger issue of having no choice of what you can connect with online. I have long turned off the news and TV all together. An occasional documentary or nature show is the most of my TV watching. I didnt know who Charlie Kirk was or that he was killed. When I was told this person was shot and I was shown who he was, I was saddened by the violence but not surprised. My recommendation to everyone is to turn off the TV and establish more meaningful relationships with those around you in real time. And for goodness sake, be kind. If you dont know how to be kind thats a bigger issue.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.7.13-14.NIV

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.6.1-3.NIV

In other words, give the government back what is theirs. “Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?” But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.” ‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭17‬-‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.22.17-22.NIV

““Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.23.5-12.NIV

Get away from labels. Educate people and they will come to enlightenment in their own time. In the mean time work with those who are on your path. It’s a waste of time labeling people. Focus more on the work you’d like to get done with those who are in alignment with you.

If one needs #nostr to say “the truth out loud” not only are you confused with what it means to say things out loud using your words in conversation with others in real life versus “the truth out loud” via posting something online…I’d also say one is also a coward if one cannot say “the truth out loud” in general. Maybe one is using nostr as a means to project ideas that one knows they would not dare project if their identity was known. Either way we look at it…I’d say an individual who uses an anonymous platform to express ideas they would not in real life is confused and a coward.
