It's a weird feeling seeing one of your favorite directors make an AI film. The short film is pretty good in and of itself, but while watching, I kept looking for where the film looks uncanny. It's probably because knowing it's AI beforehand, I kept looking to see where it looked like shit, so I couldn't fully immerse myself in watching it. Since Neill Blomkamp made a whole new studio for this, I wonder, after Starship Troopers, is he going to make a full-feature AI movie? Absolutely crazy

On Seven Havens, I could see Pavi (?) having Vaatu as a way to keep the audience in the dark about whatever Korra did. The big midseason twist will be that her twin actually has Raava and knows what Korra did. This would allow for a Dark Avatar and better representation of Order vs. Chaos as just that, and not generic Good vs. Evil.

I do feel like with every new thing Avatar Studio releases that I'm growing out of the IP. It's going to be hard to recapture that lightning in the bottle that created The Legend of Aang and I don't think getting fans to helm projects is going to smart decision in the long run. While gorgeously animated I didn't really love the Aang movie. It has the problems most midquels when you can get appreciate the character growth at the end because you already know it gets undone in the next installment. Seven Havens doesn't really look all that interesting plus having the next Avatar be a twin feels like they want to have Vaatu again without waiting for the Convergence in universe. I am grateful for the Korra slander in the trailer though. (⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠) Don't really have to mention the live action show. One exception is the Fighting game. It looks cool but feels like it came way too late. Maybe somethings shouldn't go on to become a franchise.

I feel like a lot of people vibewatched Obsession.

Decide to start reading Mushoku Tensei. Finished volume 1 I could see why it's popular. I was shocked how quick I was able to finish it. Normally I have a tough time reading the first book of a novel series but it that problem didn't prop up at all.

I didn't realize that Jast USA had uploaded a trailer with dub voices. Everyone sounds pretty good. Obviously, there are some outliers, like the kids' voices. Whether you like Setsuna's voice or not depends on how much you enjoy kuudere voices in English. To me, it sounds fitting. However, I can see how the monotone cadence could make it sound like she's bored. #animestr #gamestr

Finished Mistress Kanan. A great show with a bunch of laughs that did make me feel nostalgic for old Funi dubs. The cast did a great job! Like I figured, best girl didn't show up, but with season 2 announced, I just have to play the waiting game. #animestr #カナチョロ #kanan_choroi
