#UnpopularOpinion Minimum wage should be the minimum wage you can actually live on and a full time job shouldn't automatically mean living in what the government itself labels as poverty. That means being able to afford: housing, food, a car, gas to and from work, electric, water. AS MINIMUM. Sitting in the house doing nothing is boring. But at least your not homeless. You can eat. You can shower. You can sit on your own couch in peace and come up with a plan. If you work harder than others, your income will go up. For everyone saying, "Minimum wage isn't supposed to support a person, I ask one question: Then what exactly is the "minimum" supposed to mean if it's not the list above?
