The Democratic Party and the Republican Party. They are corporations who raise money and help people get elected. You don’t have to believe what the party believes, every politician is unique in their own opinions. But they attach their name to a party because those parties have proven capable of getting people elected, short of like franchising their brand. And because they are good at getting people elected, they tailor the rules to ensure their business model can thrive. Unfortunately, their business model is based on lies and deceptions, which have proven to work to get otherwise completely incompetent people jobs in government. They don’t actually stand for anything. They have a platform, or a pitch deck, they use to entice people to franchise with their brand. Their hold on power allows them to keep out competition.

You can’t “have it all” if you don’t have kids. What you do need is a set of grandparents that can take the kids every once in awhile. Think and act multi-generationally and transfer a surplus of happiness to future generations If it was easy, everyone would do it

I had to come back to your comment after reading some more, specifically Carlo Rovelli’s The Order of Time. 90% of the what I didn’t understand from your comment now makes a lot more sense. The only contradictions between his thesis and yours (IF I understand yours correctly) is he says time is emergent, not fundamental. I believe you said time was fundamental. Rovelli’s argument is that if we had no entropy, if the universe was in stasis, we would have no way of measuring time. Time emerges from events. Events being interactions between particles which then allow us to make measurements of time. But at the quantum level, the t variable for time can be removed and the equations still work to describe quantum processes. From my understanding of his argument and your description of how bitcoin captures this information, Bitcoin allows us to measure the processes which allows us to quantify time. Let me know if I’m understanding that correctly

The timescales of human civilization are much longer than 6 generations. That’s not even a blip on the radar. Most of our societies knowledge of history is wrapped up in the past 100 years; partly due to being overworked in the fiat rat race but also largely due to our egocentric view that we’re the best and have only improved on previous, less advanced peoples. We are standing on the shoulders of hundreds of thousands of years of humanity learning lessons about this world and we only think the last 100 is really important
