I still find it shocking how easy it was to get everyone into #meshtastic over #Nostr . It kinda' makes sense though. The more people who use it. The bigger the mesh, so communication improves so people are excited to see new users. It let's people communicate where they couldn't before. Everyone is excited to bring everyone up to speed because they want them talking. Then it's simple enough to use that just keep using it. I can't get this on Nostr yet. I can't convince people to download an app and start using it. Is it because it's not doing anything different enough from other sites people are already using? Is it doing anything unique enough to encourage people to want to try it. Censorship resistance isn't super cool and useful if what your currently saying isn't being censored yet. You can still communicate with everyone you want to. The coolest thing about Nostr is bringing you private key with you, but nothing hasnt super jumped at me yet. I'm still surprised we don't have a fork of NewPipe that uses Nostr for comments, using my private key for retro achievements in old games, people are working on mail though, calendars would be nice if that's not already a thing. Someone's even trying to mix Nostr and meshtastic. Maybe if there was some device I could give people that would get them excited too. Here's you portable relay hardware. Connect this to you phone and start using Nostr. All your text notes are backed up here or something like that. Iunno. Picture not related.

Still having a lot of fun with #meshtastic . I bought a group of people personal nodes at work and THEY'RE STILL USING IT! The best part, because they like it and it's useful! There's some dead spots in the factory so it's useful there, but every now and then people will show me something funny someone DM'd them, they're using it outside if the gl work group chat. Every now and then some new node shows up and everyone gets excited too, or they share the collection of nodes they stumble across on the drive home. While all of them do think it's cool, some of them REALLY get into it too. Buying better nodes and trying different things out at work. Honestly, I've been having more fun with this than NOSTR lately. If I could tip Sats over Meshtatstic that would be next level though.

I switched from the Heroic Heltec V3 to the T114 and it's made a great difference in battery life. I've been very happy with it. Also easy to add the GPS module to it too.

It's great! I've gotten one and have been evangelizing it at work. I work on a factory setting where there is not always got cell phone reception. It's great to be able to connect with people in those situations. What's wild is it's been a long time since I've had fun learning and discovering SOMETHING. SOMETHING with other people too. Like finding out how far we can communicate with each other and from where, how communications improves with more users, what a difference in an antenna and board makes, and all these fun choices in 3D printed case you can order online We had a situation where apparently someone in a plan was able to connect to one of us while we were outside and the showed in more nodes around the city. It's been exciting.
