Clearly it's not there yet But I think the future is pretty bleak unless it succeeds. unless you like to be surveilled and control through a social credit score and payment tokens with a kill switch
But you didn’t invent the dollar though? Also I think Bitcoin as “just an asset” will fail
Doesn’t sound like you’re a big fan of Bitcoin. Do you like the dollar?
Thanks man, have a good one you too 😎🤙
Nostr is the loviest, but also the most cryptic
💪
Yeah man, for many years now
Reaction to the latest Tom Luongo pod about silos, echochambers and fracturing of "the right": During covid, the biggest observation I had, was that this was the first time everyone got exposed to a "conspiracy" that would effect their daily lives, and also be so up and close, that they could actually see and study all the variables and outcomes. You could use yourself and those around you as a small scale sample, you could get data online, you could do estimates and mathematical modelling on your own, you could use your thinking and reasoning about all the things that didn't add up . Most conspiracies and things going on in geopolitics are too far removed for most people to have any real chance of knowing the cause and effects. But during covid WE DID. It became almost a binary, which then a large part of the online sphere would rally around. There was a huge "coming together" feeling in the covid era, of dissidents that sortof aligned on "the right". But since then the conflicts and narratives in the world have been much more abstract, or further removed from most people's lives. Like, how could you know what's really going on in Russia/Ukraine , or Gaza, or Iran? But still we have wanted to cling on to that unity we had during Covid... And we have done that through the social networks and the personalites we got to know through the screen. But we are finding out that it's really hard to have that unity, when our different interests are beginning to show themselves, and that map of reality becoming increasingly distorted. The best example I can think of is watching the libertarian leaning right in America, becoming more pro Empire (naturally, being invested in their own country and future). But this does probably not align so good with the rest of the global "anti lockdown faction". Also, as mentioned, it's really hard to unify when the information space is so large, scattered and without true anchors to reality. In that sense the plandemic was both a blessing and a curse. It was the rallying call
😂
Not to minimize the losses or seriousness of the situation. But think of how much more money people have lost investing in Bitcoin treasury companies instead of real Bitcoin? That must be in the multiple of Billions.
