Think of a Zap as a "Like" button that actually costs a few cents and goes directly into the creator's pocket. On traditional social media, a "Like" is just a data point for an algorithm. On Nostr, a Zap is a tiny burst of real money (Bitcoin) sent instantly over the internet.
