Posting on social media has always made me anxious as I feel like I need validation from other people to prove my worth. It feels different here on nostr. I don’t need to make an algorithm happy.

Nostr allows you to build things. I just created a private/public key pair, connected to a relay, set up to recieve messages from relay, subscribed to myself, and signed and sent a public note using VSC on my laptop. I am a recovering alcoholic, not a computer programmer. Nostr needs more resources for people like me! Normies like to participate too. How'd I do ?

I wish I had the tech skills to do that. Ideas?

Is anyone else out there a recovering addict? Has anyone created any sobriety groups? Nostr provides us with anonymity and a place to share a common purpose. I feel like there arent many of us on nostr, but then again, we are a minority as it is. #asknostr
