Dad and I had pulmonologist appointments this morning. Instead we are at Memorial ER. Dad called feeling weak, again. He said it was similar, but not as bad as back in July. No obvious signs of infection. Doctor has been in but no tests run yet. #nostr #grownostr

Welcome our new addition, Sugar. We applied to adopt this senior lady from Sanctuary Acres Boxer Rescue before Wayne’s mom got bad. We had already arranged to pick her up today. We decided to keep that appointment and drove to Staunton, VA this morning. Sugar is a sweet lady, 12 years old. Brindle, and Boxer built, except for her overall size. She is a tiny little thing. I cooked the Romas yesterday. I am finishing them up this morning. I have about two quarts left. I think I will freeze it. I am using a FruitSaver steam canner. It is SO much easier than a water bath canner. I am also using Harvest Guard Reusable Canning Lids and rings. #nostr #grownost #food #homestead

I’ve been working on my bread skills. Two loaves of white sandwich bread. I need to work out how much the Pullman pan will hold. I made two 1 1/2 loaves.
