We had rain nearly every day from Memorial Day to mid July, often with high temps. Then last ten days of July 95°+ and over 80% humidity. Much of the garden is barely hanging on. I won’t get many tomatoes. Thank heaven for farmers markets.

Good morning all y’all! Nice harvest this morning: Kale, Chard, Sweet Potato leaves, Indigo Rose tomatoes, Jersey Devil tomatoes, beans, and a few peppers. I don’t usually accept free food at pantries or thrift shops. God blessed me with a good man that earns enough for us both. One local shop was pleading with shoppers to take fresh foods before they had to be thrown out. I picked up two pineapple, bananas, a bag of oranges, and tomatoes. The mother plant stays outside, of course. She’s survived some serious snow levels and freezes. I suspect it’s because she’s right against the house. But we are needing to do some work around, and paint the concrete blocks. I’d like to relocate her but have no idea how deep her roots are and just how to tackle it.

This cactus was planted by the previous owner of the house. I keep debating how to handle it because it's in a really bad place. I weeded it this morning, and put the mulch down. Good morning all y'all! I'll probably jinx myself but I just completed my 7th indoor walking exercise. I found a series on YouTube called Yes2Next. She has a "senior" series. Last week I did five minutes a day. I missed Monday but yesterday and today I did the same one twice in a row. The plan is to move to a 15 minute one next week.
