Nineteen years ago God gave my wife Condisa Welbourn the ultimate Mother’s Day gift: Jody “Ding” Welbourn. This year Ding gave Condisa yet another amazing Mother’s Day gift. Last night Jodi graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.75 GPA) with a Bachelor’s of Art in Chemistry, major: Biochemistry. She is only 19 years old. The cherry on top: Jodi has been accepted into a Ph.D. Program focused on Biochemistry at USF in Tampa. Next stop: “Virann M. Welbourn, Ph.D.” (AKA: Doctor Ding). The first doctor on all sides of the Welbourn, Batten, Morabe family blood-lines that I know of.
