I deleted my Facebook/Instagram account a few years ago. I have to check if my Weapon X account is still online, but I don't use it at all. The only social media I actively use are Mastodon/Fediverse and Nostr. And I consume YouTube through PipePipe, so on my own accord.

Are you using Ubuntu yourself or something differently? It is always easier to support that you are using yourself. If that isn't something you want to do (because you might be using something like Arch Linux), then going with something you already have experience is another positive point. At that point I might suggest Debian. Or maybe even better LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition). Linux Mint is also Snaps averse, so I think they'll eventually decide to make the switch from their current Ubuntu base they are currently using, to using Debian.
