today I did transfer ISC dhcp service to dnsmasq service on my opnsense router. I did follow this example https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/dnsmasq.html#configuration-examples and everything went ok but resolving hosts from LAN or VLANs using hostname.local_domain was giving wrong result - IP. It took me while but finally I did find out that I did forgot to uncheck "Register ISC DHCP4 Leases" and "Register DHCP Static Mappings" in unbound configuration. #opnsense #dhcp #unboud #dnsmasq #dns
