No accounts, no blocks, just music 24/7. Love it. Meanwhile, I need to work on stockpiling MP3s again like it's 2003 and make my own goddamn Spotify. Stop streaming everything, save some media locally. When the grid goes down you'll still have tunes with solar power. Also sometimes shit just gets deleted from the cloud and if no one saves local copies anymore, that media is just gone forever. Hoard data like the endtimes are coming! So many people went to the No Kings protests today and waved signs against tyranny and authoritarianism. And yet most of them will continue to support tyranny by voting for more corrupt "lesser of two evils" politicians, by continuing to comply and pay taxes that fund authoritarianism, murder, extortion, theft, and mass surveillance, and by continuing to use the fiat banking system. They are LARPing to feel like they are "doing something" to fight back against the evil they know is there, while not actually doing a damn thing. A good example of the slow decline of America's government and institutions is the state of Georgia getting caught with AI hallucinations all over their filing with the Georgis Supreme Court. Today is rare disease day. I have hope that the cost of high quality medical care and treatments is about to drop like a rock. Not because politicians will actually fix our scam of a medical system, where incentives are misaligned and gatekeepers are everywhere. The cost will go down because of open source technology. I hold on to hope that medical treatment is about to improve exponentially through AI. They will try to gatekeep OFC but the open source medicine movement will win in the end. There's already at home pharm labs, open source, and buildable with off the shelf parts. One day people will download expensive patent medications like they were downloading a pirated movie, load it up into the neighborhood basement pharmacy, and get low cost medication. Open source surgery robots, doctor AIs, etc. We can't rely on politicians to fix the scam that is the American medical system, so we simply route around the system entirely and drop the cost ourselves.
