More on borrowing and lending. More wholesome and winsome conversation. Less swearing. Less ridicule over petty things.

Ok, sounds like a good deal!

Dear Mr. - there are a lot of Canadians that would absolutely love to use Strike. Any timeline on entering the Canadian market? I'm just a humble sat stacker here with an engineering background, and I would seriously quit my job to help make it happen.

Reading a great book right now on the danger of social media for kids. "The Tech Exit". Really eye opening. Most parents think simply limiting screen time is the solution. It's not.

My doctor told me to stop eating eggs daily to get my cholesterol down. Also told me to stop eating bacon. I went home and promptly consumed eggs and bacon. Am I doing it right?

Asking if there is any feedback on this - does anything like this exist or is being worked on? Any feedback welcome and appreciated!

Here's an idea I'd be interested in getting feedback on: A true bitcoin-denominated lending and borrowing platform that is only denominated in BTC terms (completely ignores fiat price): For example: - Lender posts BTC available for loan on a platform, and specifies loan terms (e.g. 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, 2 years, etc.). Lender specifies the BTC-denominated interest rate. Example: Could be a 1 year loan, at 2% (fiat price irrelevant). Or could also be open-ended loan with no end date, but allow lender to call the loan after certain period of time (for example). Idea is that loan terms are configurable. - Borrower accepts BTC loan by posting their own collateral, which includes the BTC loan value + the required interest payments based on loan terms. Example: For a 1 year loan of 1 BTC at 2%, borrower's collateral would be at minimum 1.02 BTC. - Interest would accrue from the borrower's BTC to the lender over the loan term according to the agreement. E.g. could be daily, weekly, monthly. - At end of loan period, borrower can repay the loan + interest, or have the platform pay using posted collateral. Or, loan can be extended. Benefits are: - True Bitcoin Yield, guaranteed to Lender based on posted collateral - Available BTC denominated loans to Borrower without having to sell their own BTC (i.e., no capital gains taxable event) - No liquidation risk based on fiat price. 1 BTC = 1 BTC (and for the lender, 1 BTC + loan term = 1 BTC + BTC interest) Use cases I can imagine: - Funding Start-Ups: The NgU Tech has done it's work, and now it's time to quit your job and start something new and profitable. But you don't want to sell your BTC to do it and face those taxes! Instead, you use your own BTC as collateral to take a BTC denominated loan. Now when you sell to fund, your cost basis is the price you borrowed at. - You're a humble sat stacking pleb who has saved in BTC for years, and have reached "escape velociity". It's time to live on BTC through loans to accelerate this golden BTC age. So instead of selling your own BTC, you take a small portion of your stack, post as collateral, receive your BTC loan, sell the loan, buy ETFs, borrow against ETFs (in fiat terms) through your TradFi account.... rinse and repeat. Eventually, as BTC appreciates, you can pay off your BTC loan fully as your TradFi assets are sufficient to live off of. And you did it without selling your BTC, only paying interest. - You're an OG BTC whale. You put your stack to work without selling, and earn a passive income stream.

LOVE this.... These are truths very much aligned with some of the core teachings of Christianity. The paradox is that "it is more blessed to give than it is to receive." The world says, "love yourself", but Jesus says, "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends".
