Some of those birds have some excellent rhythm. I can believe it. It makes sense for blue jays too, because whatever they are doing I wouldn't count as singing.

That's definitely what it felt like. People seem to really like the livestreams though, so I'll keep doing them. Today's worked a lot better. Just don't expect regular times because I don't have that kind of a schedule.

Damn. This is a banger. I love it, and I didn't expect that I would.

This is only the first verse, but my loop pedal broke shortly after finishing this. This is an original song called "Away from Home" and it was written during what I think was the darkest period of my life. 2 full-time jobs, basically never seeing my kids for more than 30 minutes a day before they sleep 5 days a week, too exhausted to do anything with them during the other two days. When I had a moment to think about my circumstance, this is what came to mind: Home, Away from home wearing on my weary soul to reach the place where I'll find peace as they make sure I'll never reach So I must march with only memories of laughter in my mind 'cause their machinations are designed to drain me of my time and my life which they claim to own so I'm still not home (the other lyrics, not in the recording but to the same melody) A land with grass as far as I can gaze where all my food can freely graze where I'll raise kids who'll never need to be unsure of when they'll feed but they want us to be reliant 'cause their power all relies on us not being able to ensure our needs for our own lives so they restrict what we can grow so I'm still not home Well I want kids it's my destiny it's why they'll strip us of our seed because a dream that's all my own might distract their prized worker drone after all, I might want to give my family more of my time but that would mean I'm less available to slave away for dimes so they restrict whose seed can sow so I'm still not home

This is what I hope I can do again someday when I can make enough money to have the time for it. There are no instruments in this track at all. Every part is my voice and nothing but my voice, from the beat, to the "instruments" that are all done through overtone singing. It was done using a loop pedal. That loop pedal doesn't work anymore. My current music format was largely my desperate attempt to compress all of this into a single take, and to be able to do it on the fly with whatever time available. I've definitely evolved as a musician for it, but I definitely miss the bigger arrangements too.

My apologies to anybody who was trying to tune into that livestream I just did. I was running it on on my phone and I just kept getting disconnected from ther server despite being at home and 10 feet from the WiFi router. Not sure what was going on.

Really makes me wish the prevailing shorts format wasn't limited to 6 seconds. It's not even enough time for these guys to drop a single bar.
