Besides companies losing the right to operate, the customers of companies who ARE actually MiCA compliant - like eg Strike - lost the ability to take payments and use the Strike API. We have been a happy customer of Strike, but our payments are broken now. For every payment we receive - even just 1 sat - we are required to enter KYC info about the sender that we don’t even have. So the only choice we have is to direct payments to a self-custodial wallet or register our business outside of the EU.

I like that it looks and feels like Slack, so there’s almost zero friction in switching over. The only “competitor” I’ve seen looks like a forum from the 90’s 😄
