I just finished Lyn Alden's book Broken Money: Why Our Financial System is Failing Us and How We Can Make it Better. This book opened my mind to the ethical nature of Bitcoin. I was first attracted to Bitcoin because it has a history of compounding at high rates over several years. I started learning about Bitcoin because Bill Miller invested in it and I wanted to know why. I am doing my MBA at Mizzou (with an emphasis in finance). I am a finance junky (value investing) who likes to read. I began reading this book between semesters and randomly when I have time at the firehouse. I work full time as a firefighter paramedic. Lyn's book was one of the better finance books I have ever read. Lyn didn't just explain Bitcoin, she also explained how it is a solution to a lot of the problems with our current monetary system. The book goes into cryptography, money, Bitcoin, monetary policy, and more. I recommend this book to anyone interested.
