Working with and learning about AI every day, I can't help but regard 95% of YouTube videos criticizing AI as pure cope. People are obsessed with finding reasons why AI doesn't work, will not replace jobs, produces only slop, etc. Most of these critics are random youtubers who have no idea how it works, what is it capable of or even how to use it properly. The people on the edge, e.g. Andrej Karpathy are endlessly fascinated by it and diligently working at it. It's a new technology that very few people understand and are good at using. It creates extreme amounts of cognitive dissonance. It moves so fast, people are not able to process it, nor understand the implications. It's all psychologically fascinating.
