Badass thunderstorm yesterday morning that straight DUMPED rain for about 15 minutes before stopping suddenly as the storm moved to the north. In the afternoon I found these two lost fawns in the sheep pen, no clue where the mother went as tehey were both bleating for her. I chased them out of the pen and they disappeared of into the woods. I DID find a load more of the owl pellets! OH YEAH! I have my setup so I can now actually #zap smaller than 250 sats! The truck is ready and I got my solar battery box built in the afternoon yesterday. Seems the battery is shit but the system works so I will get a new battery this morning and it will be good to go. I was in scouts so we did the same on a few campouts. Also digging through the fish stomachs to see what they had eaten.

Seriously, I have NEVER seen a snake caught in a mouse trap before in my life. It's the second pic in my post... The thing was after a mouse that was caught in another trap. Just wild. Poor snake. I'm cutting this all REALLY close as I wanted my truck finished weeks ago, but alas here I am just days before my trip and I'm still finishing it up. The end is in sight though and I'm rather pleased with how it is coming together. The exhaust is FIXED! But in the process I found that the metal oil cooler line for the transmission cracked and has a hole. The metal will get replaced with hose I will get today. The bulk of the summer squash plants got yarded out of the ground and hauled to the sheep and alpaca who devoured all the best parts they could find as soon as the plants hit the ground. It leaves just 5 plants that have been producing ok. After my brain's shitty "404 - Sleep Not Found" error yesterday morning it took until mid day before I got back to work on my truck. I have the timing set EXACTLY RIGHT this time and now just need to put the engine back together and start it this morning. I am so hopeful that it will be right but still leave myself a bit of room for disappointment. Tomatoes are a whole different beast, I'll let them grow everywhere. Tomatillos are a cancer that finds a way to regrow forever. Even with black plastic covering the garden and 6 inch holes for the plants they STILL FIND A WAY.

Last potatoes dug yesterday puts me at 1300 pounds for the year and 400 pounds more than last year. I'll have 1150 pounds bagged ready for sale once these last ones are washed.
