Appreciate the interaction and push back. To clarify, I'm not in a NAPARC church, but interact with others who are. I also don't have you or Freeborn in mind in my comments. I'm sure there is much in the opc docs that i would amen. But there is a difference between being justified in Christ and the reality of nature. There is no male or female(justification) does not erase hierarchy or differences which God created. My point is that resolutions like the ARP seem performative in a lot of cases. It strikes me at times as men worrying about the flood and forgetting the house is on fire(lewis). I really don't mean to start some big issue, and it would certainly be better hashed out over a good stout. I simply want to see churches stand up to the real dangers of our day. Which I am sure you desire as well despite our differences.

The trouble is that some of these NAPARC men don't actually seem to know what time it is. They're more concerned with mean tweets than the issues people actually face. The PCA overlooks things like women officers, and Side B, but condemns any form of nationalism as if that is the worst thing we're dealing with. Race, immigration, egalitarianism and homosexuality are the issues of our day and some of these resolutions are just grounded in liberal civil rights rather than the Bible. These are the things congregants face in their daily lives.

We live in a thoroughly fiat world. Take the world cup for example: In 1994 there were 24 teams. Then there were 32. And now this year there are 42! More teams don't make the quality better but dilute it, just like printing money dilutes your wealth. Fiat thinking infects more than your money.
