I’m still looking for her. I’ll share it when I find her.
I don’t want much. I just want to be best friends with a Turkish girl living in Istanbul who’s interested in Bitcoin and freedom, whose zodiac sign is compatible with mine and who has naturally created an account on Nostr.
Yeah, I’m in the “bitcoin is money, not a database” camp in this debate but I was thinking the same thing. I haven’t explored it deeply either, but that’s really the core issue behind the core vs. knots wars. I’d much rather see people discussing the L2 options you mentioned instead of shouting at each other 24/7.
I dislike centralization just as much as I dislike shitcoins... I have no idea what the solution is.
A centralized entity can be pressured to remove certain content. For example, what would happen if someone uploaded a book with explicit or violent material? Centralization creates a single point of authority and a single point of control. In contrast, with something like Nostr, you can choose your own relays and curate the content you want to see. I guess being a network gives more agency to users and as long as centralization exists, censorship will always be inevitable.
that's a good turkish laugh
Yeah, that’s an interesting topic to think about and brainstorm ideas on.
No, I'm a retard
I didn’t know this, I like it. I’ve always liked the idea of NFTs as a way for artists to protect the digital ownership of their creations and make their own agreements without relying on a third party. Unfortunately, that concept got spoiled by things like ape collections and other hype projects. These are ideas of *what could be* but not yet the answers to *how they can be.* In the future, these concepts could evolve with a stronger foundation. What book.io is doing is a really cool idea that actually solves a real problem.
