If we want a DNS like discovery for relays, we will be able to automatically discover content on new relays. But, this way, we can accidentally find malicious relays as well. How about relays having a trusted relay list, and based one the relays you use, you have a trusted relay list.

#asknostr What informations do you have on relays to trust them?

You need to use your account on an other relay to follow others, then import this data your WoT relay. That is the only solution without tweaking haven, right? #asknostr #haven

How do you add access to a bare WoT relay? The owner shall follow others to let them use, but how do you follow them if their profile is not on the relay? #asknostr #haven

#fixedit Unfortunately purely with server IP it was not working. With using a domain and a cert, it works.

Shall haven work, if you start it with a totally new npub? I see the http static sites, but cant connect to the websocket. Also not using a domain for it. #asknostr

But this needs work, the own relay solution works already.

That is what I was thinking. If you want to play around with it, just spin up a haven instance. Then you have everything for your group. On the other hand, the original idea was, to really store the data privately. So you could use any relay.

Could you elaborate a bit on "prompt cache"?

Is it a war tho? But definitely an interesting take! Perspective is key!

GM! ☕ First coffee ✅ So much things we could make great today! I feel like our food industry is not as it should be. So I started to work on my GutHealthTracker project. I made a first version of it without nostr at all. We used it for a couple weeks, I tried to host it with ngrok and localtunnel on localhost, because I didnt want to buy a new server, and didnt want reuse another. - Ngrok is more stable, but I got nuked. (Probably because of my simplemail login.) - Localtunnel works, but fails quite frequently regenerating the url again, makes it inconvenient to use. The app was working, but lacking critical data, and adding data was painful. Then I decided, I will start to use AI more closely in home settings. I dowloaded ollama and goose. Took some time to setup and playaround with it. Unfortunately the use wasnt that successful. In the meantime, my devserver of the GutHealthTracker was down. > Anon, what do you use ollama succesfully for? Which model? In the last couple of days I started to play around with Claude, and mkstack, if I can easily recreate my app with nostr, so others could use it as well, and: Make staying healthy fun! Going for the next coffee! ☕ See ya around some grass! #nostr

NextCloud can classify by faces, group by gps coordinates and by objects on images. Not sure if this is enough for you. But that is a private cloud solution.

Probably many apps wont survive. But the pure fact that you can build on templates, means we can learn from previous apps mistakes, and generate a better one for the next short prompt.

I was thinking in nostr terms. I think, nostr and bitcoin needs different usecases, therefore different security solutions are there. In bitcoin, probably you dont need to use your privatekey that often. So having a multisig setup is good, and advised. However for nostr, you use your keys way more often, and you might want to use it not only at home, and you might not want to take your multisig setup around to post on nostr e.g. The proposal of using phone is just a simplification, but with similar security guarantees as a signer, if the phone has a secure element with unextractable features (meaning your key cannot leave the device, it has to be used to sign). Of course this unextractable feature depends on the phone itself.

We think we want freedom, but rather we want liberty from the malicious actions of others.

The more I think about nsec/privatekey security, the more I bend towards: - keyrotation and - delegation So an ideal scenario is: - You would have an offline keystorage. Can be an old phone with a secure enclave/trusted execution environment/secure element, that you wipe, and put in offline mode forever. - This would store your "master" key. - Then you create a delegated key for your current phone. (also in secure enclave) - Authorize this key with your other key. - Then you use your phone for signing is usual. The rotation can come in, by enabling delegated keys for a certain time only, then you create a new one. Rip this idea off please. #asknostr #nostr

#asknostr Who would be interested in a private experience on nostr? Like private data storage, private social media (posts only shared with a certain group of people)

At first, text only, for the proof of concept. But could be extended for files. How do you solve it now?

Yesterday, I wild-coded a nostr clipboard react native app. Then I wanted to cross-compile it to android, windows, and linux. I thought I start with Windows to run it natively, so it can access the clipboard real time. It was a total failure. So I made a dummy app first, to test cross-compilation of react native apps. To make sure, that it works with a vanilla page. Fast forward today, I managed to build it on windows. So tomorrow is linux, android time, then adding the clipboard code. Lets see. But today also came to my mind, do you really want share all clipboard data over all your devices? I mean, its encrypted but still. The best protection is "only local". Anyone using shared clipboards? I kind of like the idea of nostr as a global identity, then you can share everything across devices and even between apps within devices. Also started to think about if remote signing/noauth, can be upgraded. Cheers! 🤙 #nostr
