I know there's a good sized meshtastic community here. Would there be enough interest, if I were to put together a kit, to buy em? This wouldn't be the full kit, but would be included.

Oh man! I feel this π€£π
It's all via lightning for payments and uses nostr NIP-17 ( if I recall correctly) for e2e DMs, where driver and rider can converse and exchange information. I think I may want to rebuild it and make it simpler. Feels too feature heavy, to me. Idk π€·πΎββοΈ
I was vibecoding on a nostr rideshare app that I was going to add vehicle rentals, at some point. It's still a bit wonky but he's what I have... https://runabout.shakespeare.wtf/
I look forward to buying it π

Temp sensor -- slick idea! Thx! Time to 3d print a drone π€©
Exactly!!! Openmanet even fits on the pi zero. You can attach a nice to a drone for extend coverage. You could toss em any where. The wifi halow radio even has gnss (I haven't gotten it work, yet, lol). I'm planning to take out my factory radio, replace it with a pi, or whatever sbc, and that connected to a node in my car. Then, I'll litter pi nodes throughout my city. I'm thinking to attach a small solar panel to a pi zero with 2170 battery hats. π€π€·πΎββοΈ
I'm experimenting with having a micro-server connected through a mesh gateway. Initially for a TAK server on a raspberry pi. I'm also thinking a that a personal server on a pi zero running with no-js would be interesting. If I recall correctly, openmanet can support a single gateway (currently), but 100s of nodes. That's a good little start to a community.
