From what I understand, resorption is just water and electrolytes being absorbed back into your system leading to impaction. So would not the issue be a low water and/or electrolyte intake more than anything else caused by it sitting for longer than a day?

Yeah, I remember thinking that too... And then my milk REALLY came in 😅 I was a mess with my first. I did not know how messy and painful it was gonna be at first, but we got through it and I would do it all over again! Haakaa and hot rags were life savers. The little bra pads are not enough while your body is figuring out how much to produce. I had to sleep with diapers (cloth) in my bra and still soaked through to the mattress 🫠sounds like you're probably gonna have a great supply! I never had big leaks like that while pregnant. Just a little here and there.

I did not. They got colostrum from me until my milk came in. That's what my mom did with me and all five of my siblings too. Congrats on baby! So exciting!

Mother's milk is best 🤌 Why compromise and make a decision you wouldn't otherwise make just to satisfy a doctor or midwife? That would only release stress for them. Mom would still be stressing about it if that wasn't what she wanted.

Momma obviously wants to do things the natural way given her attempt at home birth. I had a natural birth in hospital with my first and they were all annoyed with me for doing so because it was taking too long and kept pushing for things I didn't want. This is reminding me of that situation and I am wanting to go full mama bear for your daughter in law.
