I've distilled the issue with modern relationships down to this: Women are the problem (for lack of a better word) but men are to blame for it. Men are supposed to be problem-solvers but if they can't figure out women and themselves, they'll never be in a happy long-term sexual relationship. Lots of what you said here is true ofcourse. The lack of masculinity from men in relationships and in society itself is fucked. And that it's up to the guy to elevate himself before expecting to be considered a catch. Double standards are something one has to come to terms with. Women are born with all she needs to attract a man. A man needs to bust his ass off to get what a woman finds attractive (unless he's genetically very blessed). Key point to that is that he shouldn't elevate himself for the sake of getting women, but for his own sake. There is a natural unbalance in all of this, but it's the only game in town so you either accept the rules of nature and play, or you tap out.

It's really hard to pick a favorite in the series because each one has such memorable moments. Squid Baron best mini-boss 😂

The first one is the only one I didn't play. I know all the others are quite enjoyable though haha.

Any game's magic is ruined if you don't play it yourself :) I know I'm missing out from what I've read about it but It'd take me less time to play every soulsgame without taking a hit than to figure out how to advance this game's story lol. I also tried looking for walkthroughs for simple directions but even that seems impossible, it's quite unique in that way.

I tried outer wilds twice in my life, I really tried, for like a total of 15 hours but I gave up. Philosophical games are my jam and this is allegedly one of them but I hate wandering around with no sense of direction as I'm terrible at orientation. I've never watched a playthrough of a game but I might do it for this one just so I can see why it is praised so much.

It's the only visual novel I played as well. But I watched the steins gate anime which was amazing and there's VN games of it so I might give them a go one day. I'll check out higurashi 🫡

@Hodl Harry begs to differ on the parry system. I don't know how the hell he did it without parrying though, as I also simply used it as the main mechanic and I was totally fine with it being the intended way of doing things. So much better than the parry/retarded rolling in DS games 😂 But yeah to each his own as @sats>bits says.

What he said. Sekiro is the pinnacle of souls games. Most satisfying real-time combat system I've ever experienced.
