Would you recommend installing the openclaw fork by MapleAI directly, or installing regular openclaw and then asking a capable AI like Claude to install maple proxy and configure the models in openclaw? I just tried the latter and was not really happy. Background tasks never seem to run in the background (like installing software in a multi-step process) and oftentimes I get back JSON encoded text in the web chat/TUI or even just null.
That's fantastic use! Just as I was about to explore clawdbot with Keep up the good work, I am a happy subscriber.
In Android and iOS the individual apps that you are unlocking with biometrics don't actually get access to any of the biometric data. They just get confirmation from the OS, that biometric authentication has been provided successfully.
Do you think you could add a toggle in the user settings that makes it so that whenever I use STT to prompt it automatically responds with auto-playing TTS? Makes the conversation more lively compared to having to manually hit the read out loud button. Only autoplay if the prompt was sent using speech to text and the user has it activated in his settings.
I never thought I would listen to a podcast that covers mostly politics from a country I don't live in, but I really love your work and you are just straight up a good interviewer and podcast host! Keep it up, I am eager to see what the future brings for you and if you will start a nationwide movement or become a candidate for office. Either way, I wish you all the best!
I appreciate XMPP for the open standard that it is and how long it has existed. But if you are having such trouble with maintaining the infrastructure, have you ever experimented with other self-hosted chat protocols such as matrix or simplex? I found simplex extremely easy to setup and run. Matrix is a bit more involved with the correct DNS setup for nice handles, but I recently tried out conduit as a matrix server and that was fairly straight forward to setup and is very resource efficient! Would be really interested in hearing what keeps you with XMPP :)
