Packaging could either be much more durable or made from materials that were locally sourced and biodegradable or useful for other things. They also provided local work for people. Moving to plastic further centralized, well, everything. And now, we're all nearly permanently doused in petrochemical hormone disruptors. 😡

As was noted below, there are ways to reduce scarring over time, usually with good oils. The most basic approach is cold-pressed organic coconut oil. Vitamin E is also very effective. Tallow should also work, too.

Yes, but... A GPU is really needed to move parts of the system along. You don't need anything crazy, but I'll be doing this with a really weird setup by the end of the month and testing if it works.
