Nostur is the only iOS client that saves your follows and alerts you when it detects a change since the last time you opened it, so you can restore if you lost all or part of your list. If you do a purge on #PlebsVsZombies it will alert you.

You can restore using #PlebsVsZombies but only if you've previously backed up. Other options are Nostur for iOS and the nostr.land relay. All clients should offer a follows restore feature. Few do.

We will never do that. In fact, every time you use #PlebsVsZombies we automatically take a snapshot of your follows that we back up for you, and you can even download your own copy if you need to restore it later. We're more than just an app to slay zombies! 🏹🧟‍♀🔪🧟‍♂

We just solve that by showing which timestamped backups exist. If you don’t have one, it just says backups not found on relays. Better luck next time, pleb.

We encourage you to use more than one. In fact we recommend nostr.land from our backups page.

Thanks for the report, ! I've looked into this and the issue comes down to relay coverage during scanning. The scan checks a set of popular relays with a limited lookback window. Users who mainly post to relays outside that set (regional, community, paid relays) might not have their recent activity picked up. This can cause active users to show wrong "last posted" dates or get flagged as zombies when they shouldn't be. 😱 I'm working on a fix to expand relay coverage and the scan window. For now, always double-check before purging, especially if someone's "last activity" date doesn't look right.
