Man, I don’t know. I’ve wondered the same thing.
It’s kind of a “throw away” show to learn how to do some new things. But I can’t just make it - I have to publish too. And for some reason, some people are downloading it too :-) https://serve.podhome.fm/achievement/eb845ebf-f8f0-4d7c-5f8a-08de0776d4db
I just finished recording my first audio book narration (The Practice of the Presence of God). It's a fairly short book and in the public domain. You're welcome to check it out. It's totally free. Website: https://serve.podhome.fm/the-practice-of-the-presence-of-god Get it in a podcast app: https://pod.link/aHR0cHM6Ly9zZXJ2ZS5wb2Rob21lLmZtL3Jzcy9lYWE2ZDdkNC00YWJkLTRmMzktYTI5MS1iOGVmZmM5OTUxYjg Note: Not in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Amazon Music/Audible, as they all have paid audiobook offerings already.
I got the first few chapters up and got it into the index. https://serve.podhome.fm/the-practice-of-the
            Same :-)
Glad to be one of the test cases.
I’m working on one to host on Podhome this week. It’s old and in the public domain, but it’s something. Are there any special directories to submit to other than Podcast Index (for the modern apps) and some of the regular apps and indexes?
There are some at project Gutenberg and librivox. Also, some available as podcasts. Just not as many as Audible and not always as easy to find them. Oh, many libraries also have audiobooks available.
