It all counts. After 15+ years of going hard with daily CrossFit, my body needs to step down a gear. I鈥檓 56 now and train every morning but my goals are different. Now I focus on maintaining muscle and functional fitness, not gains. Lots of bodyweight movements (pushups, pullups, squats, dips), carrying weight (farmers carries) dumbbell routines, swings, cleans, snatches, and some low impact cardio, rowing, jump rope, interval walking. I work all major groups, and alternate days. I also cannot stress the importance or rest and recovery. If you are not getting 8 hours of sleep a day, you are ruining you fitness gains.
