I’m so close to my older brother that we have family time once a week - usually him making us dinner at his place to talk shop and shit. (I do host, sometimes). Though he lives down the road from me, we still make time to just be brother and sister to each other. This is what happens when you’re orphaned at an early age. He’s going to be a father soon and I’m going to be an aunt. I’ve never observed him this nervous about ANYTHING in his life. I assured him that I have no doubts he’s going to be a great dad and future husband. I said to him, “I mean look how I turned out.” And that made him cry a little. I love my brother to the ends of the earth.
