However, no one can be forced or compelled into a path of inner healing and restoration. There are people who exist who aim down and seek to take advantage of the emotional pain of others, who enable addiction, who seek to make life hell on Earth for many people. People tend to take the path of least resistance to reduce pain and suffering relative to what they believe are their viable options in the context of personal boundaries, or the lack thereof. So, if hard drugs are made hard or impossible to obtain, people who struggle with buried feelings and emotional pain and shame, by virtue of a need to reduce their pain, might choose to seek another path to healing, but it must be their choice. Those who are truly evil, who aim down and bring hell to Earth through violence and murder and enabling the addict, must be held accountable, especially if they are not willing to stop their behavior, because sometimes love looks like accountability to higher standards of behavior, since people need attention, especially if their parents didn't meet their needs for love, attention, and accountability. If some people are willing to at least try to aim up, they can be helped. If some people are not willing to aim up, and are aiming down through self hating choices and behaviors, and then bringing their personal intrinsic toxic thinking and hell into others people's lives, like the man high on fentanyl in the YouTube video above, who murdered the cop in cold blood, in that state that addict and their enabler drug dealer and the sophisticated drug producing apparatus that created and delivered that fentanyl (or meth) to him, must be stopped, not primarily because of hatred for those enablers, but because of love for the man who's suffering because of family of origin issues, and can't seemingly find another story to live out, and love for individuals in public. Allowing sin as a lifestyle in culture breeds death and destruction in that culture's soul. Permissioned self destruction by the state or society isn't love, it's hatred, the same way if a parent didn't hold their children accountable to high standards in kind love and truth, would be hatred of their kids. We cannot allow chaos to reign in our country regardless of the emotional pain a person is going through. Their emotions matter, but also maintaining a public state of peace from evil doers, matters. Some people addicted to drugs to numb their emotional pain, want to get better. But others, do not want to get better. We must respect their choices even if that means putting them in prison to stop them from destroying other people, and stopping those who would enable them to get high and therefore contribute to the death and destruction of many people.
