Cashback doesn’t redeem bad everyday banking. Sharesies Spend costs NZD 25 a year, but balance management feels bolted on and top-ups are slow. If you can’t rely on money being available in your “Spend” account when needed, 1% cashback feels like a bribe to tolerate bad UX.
