I never had a concrete reason why, but even going back to middle school (late 80s), I was against them. Just never wanted things injected into me. Had to get a DPT booster to go to high school, and it was the first time I screamed and cursed at my mother. She pretty much had to drag me to the car. I was furious. I never got sick at all and knew enough at the time it made no sense to get something to keep me from getting sick when I literally never got sick.
