I haven't set my wallet up yet (new on nostr) but thank you anyway. Thank you also for the thoughtful response. I am currently only running core (not v30) and I would never say never to running knots. That said, I am (don't hate me) a big fan of the community building power of ordinals. NFTs too but thats not relevant for this conversation. Tons of the ordi crew I know are running nodes, mining bitcoin or otherwise hosting some kind of infrastructure thanks to ordinals. Many of us actually enjoy the space restraints that exists and that makes creating art or collections that much more of a challenge and therefore rewarding.

understood. presumably you moved from running Core to Knots at some stage, what was the last version of core you ran? I am on core v29.1 and am waiting to see how the next few weeks unfolds. fwiw, I am not a clutter evangelist but I am partial to inscriptions (which are not part of OP anyway) but my approach has always been to be as responsible with data as possible. There is a skill in making non-financial data unimpactful in terms of bloat.

So #Bitcoin core v30 is rolling out today which for some is exciting, for #Knots heads is intolerable, and for others (like me) it is a choice. By that I mean do whatever you like, run whatever policy program you want. I tend to stay at least 1 iteration behind in case of problems. #v29.1 😁
