I used to feel the same, but this situation changed my mind. People who push the easy button are better off letting an insurance company generate their keys. There's a privacy risk, but that's better than the risk of low entropy.

Stable coins are clearly digital slavery beads backed by national debt. Governments have put their stamp of approval on coins for centuries, but like Satoshi said, "history is full of breeches of that trust. #Bitcoin is cash money so it doesn't need a government stamp of approval. Each Elelectronic coin is divisible by 100 million and is stamped by time about every ten minutes. We don't need the face of some president like "Honest Abe" or George "cannot tell a lie" Washington. The Bitcoin timechain is stamped every ten minutes with time, not some dead president.

In don't consider myself a professional. I tinker, but I learn a lot from devs using AI because it makes them so much more productive. Nostr handles much of the backend and the templates remind me of programs like AstroBlog. I like front end development so I like to change the index.tsx files by hand. I theoretically could manually change the CSS too, but it's boring to me so I have the AI do it. I could also spin up AI slop art super easy, but AI prefer drawing by hand because the Internet is inundated with AI slop images. I am not a trained artist. I used to draw cartoons as a kid. I'm no . It's not that Bitcoin backed loans are necessarily bad. The simple fact is most people who sell goods and services are fiat maxis so they everyone needs some form of fiat. We just need a way to prevent fractional reserve lending (A.K.A. rehypothication) I'm not saying LEDN is doing this, but I find technological solutions fascinating. Cashu has some interesting ways of approaching this that are too early to use, but look promising. I also think fiat backed by sats on the lightning network is an interestibg idea. Imagine if a Treasury company had 20% of their stack in such a product. Instead of "selling low" to perform financial wizardry, the could pay the 11% dividends or whatever based on the 20% stablecoin stack. They can even pay with stablecou did they wanted to. Of course, this does not eliminate counterparty risk or 6102 confiscation. It also would require some sort of proof of reserves. This CBDC talking point bothers me too. The fact that money is programmable is. Or the problem. Fiat is programmable. CBDC's are programmable. Credit cards are programmable. The thing that makes bitcoin unique is that only Gary can program his Bitcoin. I can only program my biitcoin.
