I agree. I don't feel the need to carry a military grade singing device in my pocket just to make a shitpost. Maybe if I was a spy, journalist in Saudi Arabia, or protecting the secret Coke Classic formula, but it's overkill for my threat model.

This is why I like your show so much. You mention Bitcoin every now and then, but I don't feel like I am listening to 40 hours of Bitcoin Treasury Companies and fiat price analysis.

I obviously like most, but he inspired me to run my own Mastarpn instance and explore Activity pub more. Mastodon made one of my vibe coded nostr websites better. I obviously don't agree with him about Bitcoin, but we need to show him the problems it solves instead of preach the good word of Satoshi and hand him a copy of The Bitcoin Standard.

I thought a lot about that episode of the show yesterday. It's made me reconsider things. I've been writing about buying stuff with Bitcoin, but I don't do ads, and my articles aren't exactly making sats rain. I kinda want to try something similar to 's Circle P thing, but haven't worked out all the details yet. I really like the way Shawn described nostr as being a backup too, in case the powers that be do shut you down .
