(A 'Long read'; the language not perfect yet.) Sometimes something really struck me. Like this one hand dryer on a toilet. In Istanbul, must it be in the Şişli a few years back. I had just hitched there and was walking down the road to get to my place of stay, being it some shitty hostel, perhaps. Can't remember correctly; it was before the big earthquake. There is a main road that drivers passing by - a bigger one, the main road adjoining a few kilometers from there back to the highway, pulling out the cars the way a vein does the artery. And I'm walking down, quite hungry. There were no shops, nor cafe or any place at all to refresh myself. No sidewalks there too, walking in between parked cars and in the traffic. Then I saw a gas station, tucked into a carved-out space, because entire place lies in a valley and the road sits at the bottom of it, like the usual design everywhere. They dig into the side of the hill and put the business there. I'm looking at the scenery, sun about to rise and shine. The rapid development in this area is quick. It's the kind of extreme where, on one side, the smaller roads are pulling upwards the hill, where are to be seen really poor buildings, almost made from some scraps. The walls, sometimes from only one brick on top of each other, with no proper lining, no brick bond pattern of any kind. Almost like a boundary wall rather the one for a house. Most of the bricks holding in the wiring made from concrete structure where the last level is the roof and also consisting of the metal mesh waiting for next round of construction. Often rusted as that takes years to happen, if ever. Resembling to me the laje in favela. In contrast to this, someone building a megastructure just opposite these small sheds, now them hiding often in between the new shiny glass towers of wealth, due to contrast emerging. From these small sheds usually a metal pipe of any kind goes thru the roof, pulling out the smoke as the family is making morning coffee on the open fire. The, now white, smoke rises and slowly dissipates itself in about halfway thru the tall glass structures surrounding it. I wonder what the people living in those spaces are thinking about someone having open fire all the time while I'm watching, open doors letting me see them sitting on the carpet around the stove. They don't expect anyone be in this time at this place, perhaps, that's why doors are not close in many places, hardly anyone wanders the mornings here. The entry to the glass giant is in the opposite street corner, so they are shielded from scenery a bit, adding to it the curvature of the hillside road. It's a contrast of wealth and poverty. Not taking any picture, as that would be quite inappropriate and an intrusion. Though it's worth capturing such a moments as it's not to be seen that much, I think - the spot will change a lot soon by the development. Returning, walked into the gas station, finally, choosing some yogurt and ayran. It's only in Turkey where they have crazy selection of chocolate bars and rounded kek sweets. Dozens and dozens of tasty ones, and I'm like really having a hard time to not pic any just to have melting this goodness in my mouth again. This selection never cease to amaze me; in Europe there is like one part of the shelf with Milka & Snickers and that's all. Here it's half the room the local bars and kek, the low quality sugar infused fakeish milky chocolate is in bottom part of the shelf as the cheapest shit tends to be found there. And I'm going to take a piss as well while at it. The doors are completely automatic, letting me in - and there it is: the Dyson hand dryer, on the wall. And I'm like wooah! I know they exist, fancy and with all the HEPA filters, capable of a streamlined, fine, smooth, concentrated pressured wave of the air. Releasing it's full force onto my wet hands. What a blast swoosh - doing it's job well and quick. Haven't seen these often, almost nowhere - and out of a sudden, the beauty is there, on the wall of this particular toilet. At a regular gas station, like there are dozens of them and this one is not a fancy one in middle of nowhere where anyone is forced to stop, the high volume of visitors where there is return on this fancy investment. Staying there in disbelief looking at it, definitely must take a pic. It's not inappropriate, it's just what is it. The Dyson Airblade 9kj - costing nowadays some ~ 1300$. So yeah there is this, they even don't pull down the sticker, lol. Is it as comedy like I'm laughing all the time, or is it just causing slightly smiley face so they stic the comedy tag on it to be it somewhere? Well the modem (5G/LTE) and CPU will be getting really hot, as it eventually runs 24/7. The reason why routers are chunky beyond RJ45 height is often also the space needed for the heatsink, made from bent (W/Y shape) aluminium plate. Adding to it WireGuard will be used much, that is heavy on CPU and it will boil itself quickly. For this reason the battery will suffer - heating up as well (dis/charging), at least it should be as a separate box with an air gap between the router and the batteries. Also WiFi 6 and later are RAM (afaik 256 MB RAM is normal now, better to have 512 with OpenWrt) and CPU hungry so there is that, adding to nonstop load. So the design should really dissipate heat well and be able to connect the heatsink to the surface - as presumably a fan is to be avoided. And the parts must be a snug for the thermal pads to keep on place in contact - because of moving it frequently put this under pressure.
