This beautiful wetland located in Sunamganj is often called the Blue Heart of the district and Bangladesh due to its endless water and peaceful environment. I last visited Tanguar Haor during the last monsoon, and the experience was unforgettable. Boats moved slowly on the wide waters, and the fresh air and the chirping of birds created a feeling of complete tranquility. The green villages and the distant hills of Meghalaya made the scene even more attractive. Tanguar Haor is also very important for wildlife. Many migratory birds come here during the winter and this haor is home to various species of fish and aquatic plants.
