Yes, when doing manually you’re only using your pubkey (npub) so without the private key (nsec) you can’t sign the event needed to remove the inactive users. So you need the extension.

After you use the “unfollow all” button in the bottom your follow list should be updated and inactive users removed.

They must not be serious about decentralization.

They are great for one thing tho. Blending pears in with a morning veggie smoothie adds the perfect type and amount or sweetness so I can’t taste the horrible veggie flavor.
