Day 4: #SquatPushRepeat S: 40, 40, 20 P: 25, 25
Finally got the grout in. Some how traveling 4/5 weekend ends and a stomach virus ripping through the house really elongates your weekend projects. Also we over used the thinset in a humid environment and two tiles didn’t take so that pushed us back a bit initially. With a second curing period required. My wife mixed and applied the grout and I cleaned it. Just FYI if you are using slate stone tiles, they will not be smooth and even and so cleaning the grout will be quite challenging. Lesson learned. But we will likely tile two more bathrooms in slate subway style. The herringbone was a fun challenge but no need to do it everywhere. Subway will be much faster and easier. Grout sealer in 72 hours. Quarter round and a transition at the door will complete this project.

Hahah. I’ll change encouragement techniques. You got off your ass! If you had been doing this before it wouldn’t be so hard now. You have started. That’s the hardest part. Keep moving forward. Do some squats today. Find a pair of shoes that fit and keep moving forward.
Hahah, well things have to improve from here! Have a great day!
I love that. Outside in the AM is awesome. I may try to find a tower that isn’t being used.
How you holding up today? 48-72 hours can be the worst for DOMS.
I’ve considered rowing as a solid full body workout in a short period of time.

Yes. I haven’t really started any weight lifting but have been doing some body weight stuff pretty consistently for a while.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a 10+ year focus on geriatrics. Specifically helping people help their parents navigate this current healthcare environment in the US. It seems no one thinks about their parents having a fall, injury or medical event until they wind up hospitalized and most of the decisions and responsibility falls on the children. I have written a book titled The Accidental Caregiver’s Guide: The toolkit for navigating the healthcare system and aging in place. It has 153 five star reviews on Amazon.
