Have a good day đ¶ Letâs Fo Live đ” v 1.0.1 is now available. - no new features - fixed two small bugs Self-hosted Nostr livestreaming on your own domain â chat, zaps, widgets, no platform lock-in. My stream. My domain. My power. Download: https://live.letsfo.com
If a platform can mute your stream, delete your clips, and decide what audio youâre allowed to play, then it doesnât serve creators â it controls them. LFL exists so creators can stream, get paid, and publish without asking permission.
The Bitcoin unit sats doesnât have an official symbol yet, so weâre using the Unicode character áč© (U+1E69) to represent sats. Using the lightning bolt ⥠to represent sats was confusing The lightning bolt typically represents the number of zaps, not the total amount of sats. That made it misleading, so we decided to display both separately: Zaps & Sats There werenât many good symbol options. AI suggested the Chinese character äž°, but that can be confusing for non-Chinese users, and its meaningâabundance doesnât fit sats, which have a fixed supply. Using the Bitcoin âż logo is also unclear, since it represents a full bitcoin, not satoshis. So when you read 21âż, it reads as 21 Bitcoin, not 21 sats. A small s is easier to intuitively understand, which is why áč© felt like the most reasonable choice. 21áč© #sats #bitcoin
Rumble is starting to feel more and more like YouTube, packed with advertisements. Let's Fo Live doesnât have any ads at all. In the future, some streaming backends may try to introduce ads, but the admin panel allows streamers to switch to backends that donât include them. Because of that flexibility, I donât think weâll be seeing ads on Nostr-based streaming anytime soon. #lfl #rumble
