Have a great aunt and uncle who lived in Taiwan for many years. I asked her after they moved back to the states about her experience with the language and she said a variation of what you said, that learning the dialect of Chinese she spoke was the âeasiest thing in the world, I just had to forget everything I knew about language.â Sounds so easy đ But really, great short video. I would love to see more.
Maybe your brood has aged out of this book, or maybe you know it well. Your lovely photo reminded me of it. Had some sweet times reading it to my kid a few years ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellaluna
so itâs a brand not an ethos
I always try to build some narrative sequence into the spatial designs.
For me itâs helpful for presenting early proposals in a 2d format. Clients seem to respond best to less photorealistic presentations of designs, it helps them imagine possibilities, and then later when the designs are finalized, more photorealistic renderings can be appropriate.
thanks for sharing your comic studies! itâs helpful to understand these things for presenting proposals of three-dimensional work too, whether architectural designs or sculpture
In picked strawberries as a kid for like two days. I worked 7 hours each day and made just over $6 total lol
Hello Taj. Looking forward to seeing more of your story and your art/design development.
Who is the author, is it you? I canât read modern Greek at all, but was very curious so I asked an LLM to translate this poem with the care of Robert Fagles and Stephen Mitchell. It seems well done to me insofar as it touched me, and the LLM annotated its choices which seem reasonable. Iâll note the translation below. Does it capture well the original? ⊠Youâre searching for your last cigarette in the green leaves of the chestnut tree. The stars nod to you from the skyâ nightingales singing, and a Greece gone feral. A tin of balm you turn into graves with feta. A car passes, somewhere, beside a cross. A childâs memory lingers in the dusty shed that still barely stands in the corners of my childhood mind. A pomegranate tree that sprang from the earth at birthâ and a glance in your eyes that I am still waiting for. I cry and remember. We hold onto your words. I write so I wonât forget your memory, Fatherâ the day on the balcony you etched into mine. And later, you sit again in the haze of the dice, at the edge of the sea, bewitched by the nightingaleâs song. Iâm no songwriterâ Iâm a Nobody. In my eye youâll see the birth of some kind of death. And a brotherâs head resting on the father, a dogâs whimpering sigh in the lie of the village. The nightingaleâstill there. And a stone, a diamond, brought from Smyrna, from Grandma Maria. A grandfather in my motherâs haunted gaze, and a life worthy of one great lie. The lie is our delusion that hides the truth. And a pedestrian prose lurks between the ribs, an arbitrary stale bread in the truth of law and order. An old teacher on the edge of ugliness, and seven siblings in a rowâ you were cut into two. Still you refuse sleep. You light your second-to-last cigarette. Our thoughts rush fast along the moonâs path. A heavy shadow on your wall, and a silver-gold mountain beckons each of us to hand over the childâs enchanted lie. Time for sleep. I woke inside my fatherâs dreamâ in the childâs airplane, dust in the airâ and a kind of honor pulsing in the lie of lenses. Time for sleepâ Iâm late, inside the madness of ash.
Is it AI generated or are they real people singing?
depends how you treat the wallet, I suppose. if itâs in the breast pocket of your blazer thatâs going to be better than sitting on it.
That little bit of extra definition on the tail helps a lot. Iâm stunned when I see the cyber from behind on the highway. It always looks to me like a homegrown bunker trailer.
What a treasure
(some) grandparents for the win on this one.
