Of course there will be! Viruses, fungi, and bacteria are all around us. Sooner or later there will be another strain that spreads worldwide. Next time I just hope that the response can be more in proportion to the actual danger. Most of the world overdid it last time, because politicians were in charge and did not want to appear weak. I personally think that Sweden did pretty well compared to the rest of the world. Where is the research on the efficacy of different policies and choices, and their side effects?

My problem with this war is that I believe both sides equally capable of this, or of faking this to demonize the other side. It makes me want to cry and to avoid paying any attention to the news 😞

But will not spam filters automatically be a centralizing force. For it to work people need to get used to updating their nodes more often, or refreshing their spam filter at least (if it is not hard coded). The spammers find new ways aroud it, it gets updated etc etc. So we get a gatekeeper (Luke?). IMO the centralizing risk is much worse than the spam.

If we were all doing a bit more of that we would get less hate and more constructive discussion.
