Lately I’ve been reflecting on how easy it is to live for ourselves instead of letting the Holy Spirit guide us. In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul reminds us that everything we build apart from Christ will eventually be burned away. Matthew 14 shows Peter sinking the moment he shifted his focus off Jesus. And James 4 tells us plainly, when we know the right thing and fail to do it, it is sin. That’s convicting, but also freeing. We don’t have to carry the burden of living in our own strength. God calls us to daily surrender, through Scripture, prayer, and faith, and allow His Spirit to work through us. That’s when our lives bear fruit that lasts. My prayer is that we each take small steps today to walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. The world needs believers who live Spirit-led lives. 🙏 1
