Doesn't matter if we are outside the US, Europe or China, eventually all states will try to reduce your freedoms, even if it's just by peer pressure or following what others have done. The excuse for doing so doesn't matter either. The only thing that matter is for you to create and use the tools. Don't reinvent the wheel, you can build on the foundations other have laid before you. Nostr is a great example.
