What is obvious to you seems spectacular to me. You speak like a quiet cynic person, that just throws all in the same pot. But there is a systemic difference in governments, that execute questional decisions and a government, that attacks checks and balances, the free press and acts as if it would stand above the law. In a best case the current US government unites the society in enforcing the democratic foundations. In the worst case, they are successful in their plan to erradicate the foundations.

I currently see european countries as save haven for holding up humanrights. I would rather die defending the values of human rights than giving them up.

Defnitly I also mean to stand for the humanrights, so others get the chance to do it as well. And in every place where a critical mass is willing to give everything to defend our human rights, they are resilient and able to help more regions to defend them. As more people know of humanrights and as more uphold them, as better we will be off.
