I really think socialmedia is no good for kids at all. I agree, that kids should have restricted to no access to social media. I am simply not happy with mass surveillance. So I do not agree with mass ID-verification. Sensitive data (all identifying data) should be collected scarcely and deleted as quick as possible. But social media is a dsctraction for kids. Kids brains are much more vulnerable to addiction. And they should be protected from it. Usually I expect this to happen from parents side.

Take the word for what it is. Creative comes from creating. While one is consuming one is distracted from creation. Children need play and social interaction in order to develop. So when socialmedia steals their time, they will simply be underdeveloped compared to children that use the time for play and social things.
