Grew up completely non-religious in Seattle like everyone around me. Getting baptized into Christ and trying to faithfully walk with him was by far the most radical and rebellious thing I’ve ever done. So many friends walked away, but also quickly found out who the real ones were. No way I would’ve become a Bitcoiner if I wasn’t a Christian first. Learned to think for myself and seek truth regardless of what was happening around me.

100%. The best thing for the average American (not the elites), is a more multipolar world. Our government and its leaders have grown way too strong and they clearly believe that we serve them, not the other way around. I realize this comes with a lot of short-term pain, but pushing it off and letting US hegemony march on will only make the price we pay that much heavier down the road.

So well said. Was reflecting on this when I was going back and forth with my dad on a political issue we completely disagreed on. He sent what was very clearly a summary by Grok (only AI he uses) with a source at the bottom. I was really surprised by the summary (pro-Israel) v. the source (Al-Jezeera). When I read the article it was very clear that whatever grok was doing it was not summarizing that article AT ALL. But he didn’t even take the time to glance at the source, let alone read it. When I called him out on it, he had no response. The source grok used completely supported my point, but the summary supported his. Don’t know what he entered into the prompt, but demonstrates the exact point you’re making.

Feeling like I’m blowing up #asknostr but I always get the most solid responses. Is anyone aware of any Nostr / BTC models that are being formed in the real estate space? Not talking about getting loans against equity, thinking more about working with agents that want to get paid in bitcoin for handling buying and selling of homes. We’re in moving process and would absolutely consider working with an agent in that space that wants to settle in sats. Already got my BTC architect ( ) and fellow ATLiens at HODL HOUSE on deck for design / build. Check out their new site and strive to do everything in the BTC ecosystem. Thanks again for and the BTC business podcast for putting this on my radar. And for all the work and have been doing on RTR to emphasize the need for seeing Nostr as the circular freedom economy it is. Amazing when you see it tangibly in action. https://thehodlhouse.com/

Already did. We had an awesome conversation about our backgrounds and what he’s doing with HODL House. Will bring this up with him next time we connect

Remember early in high school I wasn’t locked into current events or what was going on around the world but I was big into my own family’s Irish history. It was around 2005, so we were years into one of the most vicious, blatantly bigoted propaganda cycles against Muslims that I can ever remember. Anyways, one of my good friends was Lybian and we would kick it a lot and he first put both the parallels and the differences between Irish and Palestinian history in context. The parallels were very similar in both cases because of the effects of generations of hostile occupation and the reaction you are going to get from them is basic human nature 101. We will always eventually get people who understandably use violence back to rightfully defend themselves. What was completely different was the support / opposition Irish people receive v. the condemnation arabs receive for doing the exact same thing. The hypocrisy he exposed was the first time I can really remember the guise of ā€œwestern valuesā€ being totally destroyed for me and it has only gotten worse since then. Not only do Muslims have to put up with just blatant bigotry in a way that the Irish obviously don’t today, but Arabs also have the force of the Jewish media cartel fully against them. All these Ashkenazi Zionists who are cosplaying as semites, the kill the descendants of many REAL SEMITE descendants (Palestinians) and then scream about ā€œanti-semitism.ā€ The absurdity of this all almost seems intentional at this point just to show us that ā€œwe will lie about everything, even the most basic assumptions of this conflict and there is nothing you can do about itā€

Always encouraged to see new people join Nostr! First time I joined I got no traction and left, second time has been completely different. I know how powerful one positive interaction can have on here. Don’t know anything about your background, but welcome! Nostr is the best if you can stick with the initial difficulty in getting traction.

Yeah I’ve tried so unsuccessfully to orange pill people on bitcoin (had a couple family / friends I’ve won over). But realized that a lot of people are just not that interested in the philosophical stuff, they need just simple use cases to get their foot in the door. Once they experience a couple powerful uses cases then they really are open to exploring more of the foundational concepts. This is probably a testament to the fact that I’m low IQ and so are many of my family and friends šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. But wanna do whatever I can to help those I love get free. Have won more people over to Bitcoin through nostr in two months, then I did in 3+ years of trying to talk to people directly about bitcoin.

Couldn’t agree more. NGU honestly piss me off and hurt long-term adoption. Nostr is so key to allowing people to see what something closer to a Bitcoin standard looks like. I made a handful of Lightning transactions before I came on here, but now I’m making hundreds of transactions a week. Mostly zaps, but I also pay for multiple monthly expenses (like VPN service) and have made a bunch of one off purchases. Makes me feel so confident in long-term future of Bitcoin seeing the circular economies start to form. Care less and less about the current price with each day that passes. Whatever focus I did have on NGU has completely shifted to Nostr evangelism and trying to get the whole squad on here.

As western society has largely become more effeminate and soft, so too has the modern Church in the West. Probably no greater example of this than how we conceptualize ā€œloveā€. Obviously there are different types of love, but as a general concept love is largely presented as being totally tolerant, never angry, always gentle and never firm, conflict-avoiding, etc. When you look at the life of Jesus through this lens however, the only conclusion you can reach is that there were many times when love incarnate was not actually ā€œlovingā€ at all! Think about the times where Jesus was flipping tables in the temple, excoriating the Jewish leaders for their corruption and even coming across as disrespectful to his own family. So we need to ask ourselves, is Jesus in the wrong or are we? The most ironic part about this, is that I often see what I think is this more true, Jesus-like love in courageous women who hate evil and cling to what’s good, than I do in passive men who won’t stand for anything.

Another big blow to USD reserve status and the power to manipulate that comes with it. Also always good to see banks getting crushed. Moving toward a more multipolar world where hard assets matter and currencies will be at least loosely backed by something. Any world where we move more towards sound money, more towards actual free markets, etc. is a much better world. It’s not the ideal Bitcoin standard, but it moves in that direction.

All Bitcoiners should be paying attention to what is happening in the silver market right now. It is literally history in the making. For decades banks have manipulated the silver market and they are on their very last leg throwing absolutely everything they can to keep the price down. Silver will break out and crush these manipulators and that is a massive victory for reality and a major L for the banks. #silver #backwardation
